New York chaos as NYPD lock down streets over 'bomb scare'

The New York Police Department is responding to an incident in Manhattan amid reports of an explosive device being found.

However, the nature of the incident is yet to be confirmed by the police.

The Port Authority Trans-Hudson train system posted on X that police are responding to a reported incident at 14 St, meaning numerous services face disruption.

Meanwhile, NYCEM reported: " Expect traffic delays, road closures, mass transit disruptions & emergency personnel near W 13th St & 6th Ave, Manhattan. Avoid the area."
