With December fast approaching, advent calendars will soon be making their return, marking the countdown to Christmas in all sorts of creative ways. Chocolate is the classic go-to, but some might prefer something longer-lasting.
In the festive season, few gifts are as universally appreciated as a fresh pair of socks, and White Stuff is currently selling a women's 12 Days sock advent calendar for £39. With a dozen windows to open, this practical calendar offers a cosy surprise each morning in the run-up to Christmas.
Not just for festive fun, this advent calendar is also an excellent way to top up the sock drawer for less. At the £39 price tag, each pair of socks costs just £3.25 - less than one might otherwise pay.
Included in the White Stuff advent calendar is a mix of colours and designs, providing a varied rotation of coverage for cold feet. Many are Christmas-inspired, but there are also several non-seasonal socks that can be worn year-round.
The socks come in a single universal size. They're made from a blend of 63% organic cotton/21% polyester/15% polyamide/1% elastane.
Another option is the FatFace women's 12 pack sock advent calendar for £35. Inside are 12 pairs of soft socks, with a variety of designs including yuletide patterns and Christmas characters.
Or, for lovers of classics like Snow White or the Little Mermaid, shoppers could go for Get Trend's Disney Princess & Villain sock advent calendar for £24.99 from Amazon, down from £31.09. Each pair is adorned with some of Disney's best-loved characters, with 24 windows to open - that's just £1.04 per pair.
The White Stuff socks have received strong reviews from customers, and hold a 4.5 out of five rating on the website. One buyer commented: "I love bright socks and these did not disappoint. Very good quality with bright designs and beautiful patterns."
A second commented: "Lovely socks in bright colours that can be worn not just for Christmas. Good value, I thought, for the quality and amount of socks in the box." A third shopper simply added: "Great socks. Certainly good value, as they were in the sale."
One customer did note the quality, saying: "Nice socks and good value. Some non-seasonal ones are included so I don't have to wear Christmas socks all year. They are not the same quality as the individually purchased socks, though."
Another customer liked the socks, but did leave advice on sizing. They said: "I got these in the sale, so they were good value and I'm pleased with them. The website is unhelpful because it doesn't state what 'one size' consists of for women, and very strangely other White Stuff socks are sold in sizes 3-5 and 6-8. I'm 5 to 6 and they fit me."
